A day that almost never arrived. But after going through two bad names (Daily planner, Block it and get it (BITGIT) to perhaps another bad one (Before lunch), this web app will finally be going out to the world.
For those of you who tried it when it was called block it and get it, here is what's new
- Everything is not called a block anymore 😆
- You can actually delete tasks and projects now
- Tasks can be moved and copied across slots with the dot menu
- The last moment hacked together settings screen is gone, with its functionality more elegantly tucked into the Schedule screen.
- Instead of 4 slots being shared across all days, you can now have up to 4 customisable slots on each day.
- The narrow top and bottom bars are replaced with a header and a taller footer. The footer should now work on mobile.
- Support for signing in with Google and Microsoft (and removed ability for creating accounts with email)
- The app starts in demo mode now where you can use it without creating an account. Demo mode also has some initial tasks to introduce the app to a new user. (No more forced sign up and an empty, broken looking app on first sign-in)
In addition, the app has its own domain (beforelunch.app), a new forum (You are looking at it) and a new landing page (www.beforelunch.app). The app itself now lives at start.beforelunch.app.
